These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding contract between you and Preston Jay Susanto (“Regrade”, “we”). They govern the Regrade mobile application, the Regrade web application, and any related services we operate (the “Service”). By using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA/UK where local law requires) to use the Service.
You are responsible for your account and credentials. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the law.
Regrade is an educational AI tool that helps students analyze graded coursework and draft an appeal letter. Regrade is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Outputs may be wrong. You are solely responsible for what you send to your instructor or school.
You agree not to commit fraud, harass anyone, jailbreak our AI, exfiltrate our system prompts, scrape the Service, bypass rate limits or security controls, impersonate anyone, or use Regrade to commit academic dishonesty (for example by submitting AI-drafted work as your own original analysis or by fabricating evidence in an appeal).
Regrade uses third-party large-language-model providers (currently Google Gemini). Outputs can be wrong, biased, or incomplete and are not a guarantee of any outcome. You assume all risk associated with acting on AI output.
Regrade may be offered free of charge or with paid features. Prices, billing intervals, and trial terms are shown before you are charged. Apple and Google handle payment, refunds, and subscription management for purchases made through their stores under their own terms.
Regrade is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Canvas, Gradescope, Moodle, D2L Brightspace, Schoology, Microsoft Teams Education, Google Classroom, Turnitin, or any other learning-management platform referenced inside the app. Trademarks belong to their respective owners and are referenced only descriptively.
The Regrade name, logo, design, system prompts, source code, and documentation are the property of Preston Jay Susanto. All rights are reserved except for the rights expressly granted in these Terms.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR ACCURATE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR ANY ACADEMIC OR PROFESSIONAL CONSEQUENCE ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT OR U.S. $100.00.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or if operating your account creates risk for us or other users.
We may change the Service and these Terms. Material changes will be posted at this URL and announced in-app or by email where reasonable. Continued use after the new Terms take effect means you accept them.
Before filing a formal dispute, contact us and give us 30 days to resolve it. Disputes that are not resolved informally will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Rules in Los Angeles County, California. You and Regrade waive any right to a class, collective, or representative action. Small-claims court remains available. Either party may opt out of this section within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing the support address with the subject “Arbitration opt-out” and the account email. California law governs these Terms.
If you got the iOS app from the App Store: these Terms are between you and Regrade, not Apple; Apple has no obligation to provide support; in the event of a non-conforming warranty (to the extent any is not disclaimed above), you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation; Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms.
You represent that you are not located in an embargoed country and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
The current support email is shown inside the Regrade app on the About screen.
